Impression

Sometimes, when I go into my space after a few days of working on larger pieces, I find smaller works that have appeared as a result of just painting. My making process involves taking all kinds of materials that I have to hand and using them to create smaller works to map out future paintings. I found this one today, the front facing the wall. Its painted on a board that belongs to the back of a frame – I was surprised by it – I’d forgotten making it about a month ago. It’s strange when your own work catches you off guard.
